A Visual Feast of Marble and Undulating Waves

What sets this design apart is its use of marble, creating a visual feast that deviates from traditional residential interior design. The natural stone textures, combined with a gradient overlay of black, gray, and white, evoke a sense of stability and tranquility. The perfect balance of metal and mirror surfaces adds an extravagant play of light and shadow, enhancing the overall ambiance.

The house spans 100 square meters and features an entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, bar counter, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Each space is meticulously designed to create a cohesive and harmonious flow throughout the house.

The entrance sets the tone with a display shelf adorned with art collections, illuminated by warm yellowish light. The inky stone is softened, creating a gentle and calm entrance. Staggered amber mirrors, erected titanium-plated metal pieces, and a marble pattern on the main TV wall further enhance the sense of prestige and elegance.

The marble counter table in the living room is a centerpiece, with delicate layers outlined by dividing lines and light sources. A black mirror-lined rear showcase reflects the marble TV wall, creating a playful visual depth of field. The absence of a wall behind the sofa allows for smooth interaction between guests, promoting a sense of openness and connectivity.

In the private sphere, a corridor covered with mirrors creates an illusion of extra footage, while also concealing the doorway to the bathroom. The master bedroom features rich veins of marble, light gray leather furniture, and corrugated sheets on the wall, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.

The design overcame several challenges, including the removal of partition walls to create an open-floor layout that seamlessly connects the living room, kitchen, wine cabinet, and bar countertop. The west-facing master bedroom is designed to withstand the sun's heat, ensuring a comfortable and moisture-free space. The strategically placed windows maximize natural light and capture the stunning outdoor views.

Yueh Ju Tsai's Luxurious Elegance design is a true masterpiece, combining the beauty of nature with the sophistication of contemporary design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding creativity and resourcefulness.
